It was the rainiest day of the year in bridgeport, ct and we drove up from Manhattan to meet with the New Balance Team and our subject Ricky, a sneakerhead who began a personal challenge he titled #TheWiltedRoseProject. In the project, Ricky pledged to give up his shoe collecting habits for a year and exclusively wear a pair of New Balance 997s. Despite the downpour, on day 364 of his year-long challenge we managed to film Ricky in some of the most beautiful spots in Bridgeport and heard him speak about his passion for sneakers and why he took on this interestinG CHALLENGE.
